SKYE Estates Winery in the Texas Hill Country
In the Hill Country, wine is usually something you drive out to find. At SKYE, it’s where you stay. The resort is built around a working estate vineyard — the vines are right outside your door.
We planted them in 2021, brought in our first harvest in 2024, and released our first vintage in April 2025.

Exclusive Sawtelle Sake
A one-of-a-kind Japanese-inspired sake seltzer — carbonated and made with rice, herbal tea, fresh citrus, and Japanese rock sugar. The resort offers four flavors: Yuzu Chamomile, Hibiscus Ginger, Spirulina Citrus, and Ube Dragon Fruit.
The Spirulina Citrus won Best Consumers’ Choice at the 2025 American Craft Sake Festival. SKYE is the only place in Texas you’ll find it.

There are more than fifty wineries across the Hill Country. When you want to see them, you still don’t have to drive.
We partner with Texas Wine Tours in Fredericksburg. They run wine, beer and spirits tours, private group outings and bachelorette trips in step-up coaches, with pick-up and drop-off right here at SKYE.

Do I have to be a resort guest to do a tasting?
At this time, tastings are available to resort guests — it’s one of the perks of staying on the estate.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes. We schedule tastings ahead of time, so there’s no walk-in service. Because it’s a working vineyard, we plan each visit around the vineyard’s care schedule — so just reach out to arrange a time and we’ll take care of the rest. Pricing varies by tasting.
Can I buy bottles to take home?
Yes — our estate wines are available by the bottle on property. Find one you love at a tasting and take it home with you.
Is the vineyard tour a walk, and can kids come along?
Yes on both. The tour is a guided walk (or golf cart ride) through the rows with someone from our team, arranged by appointment — and kids are welcome. It’s an easy, family-friendly stroll, right on the property.
Where is SKYE Estates?
Right here on the resort. SKYE Estates is our working vineyard and winery, on-site at 16880 N Highway 87 in Fredericksburg — a short walk from wherever you’re staying. No driving required.
Stay among the vines — 15 minutes from Main
Cabins, nature pods and RV sites, all a short walk from the vineyard. Main Street’s fifteen minutes away when you want it — and gone when you don’t.
